This qualification is intended for those currently assessing or who wish to assess occupational competence in the individual work environment.

How long will it take?
The total qualification time for this qualification is 90 hours and of this 54 hours are recommended as guided learning hours, but you will have up to 6 months to complete your assignments and observations from the date of registration.

What is required to pass?
Successful completion of:
Unit 1 - Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessing Vocational Achievement. (Assignment).
Unit 2 - Assessing Occupational Competence in the Work Environment. (Gathering evidence).

Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence.

How is the course delivered? 
This is a blended learning course course, which includes distance learning, virtual classrooms, a one-day (attendance) workshop and online tutorials for those who assess in the classroom and the workplace and will cover the required knowledge and practice of assessment.

Course requirements
You must have access to at least two learners who are in the process of completing an occupational qualification. One of the learner observations needs to be observed by your accredited assessor in the workplace. You will also need to arrange for a qualified assessor to countersign your assessment decisions.
