This qualification is intended for those who maintain and improve the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

The total qualification time for this qualification is 120 hours and of this 90 hours are recommended as guided learning hours.

What is required to pass?
Successful completion of Unit 4 - Understanding the Principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment and Unit 5 - Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment.
Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence.
How is the course delivered?
A one-day workshop will cover the required knowledge and practice of internal quality assurance. Once completed you will be required to complete an assignment and then demonstrate Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) practice.
Course requirements
The Candidate Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) must have access to at least two qualified assessors, each with a minimum of two learners of their own, that they are accessing through a qualification. You will be required to arrange a meeting with your accredited assessor in the workplace and you will also need to arrange for a qualified IQA to countersign your internal quality assurance decisions.
You will have a further 6-8 months to complete your assignment and collect your performance evidence following your attendance.
