Who is this qualification for?
Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is designed for individuals who want a qualification focused on practical teaching. It builds on the Level 3 qualification and looks at teaching and learning in more depth and prepares trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts.

How long will it take?
The qualification has a minimum of 140 guided learning hours and learners must be able to evidence 30 hours of teaching practice. It is offered by a combination of traditional and virtual workshops. You will have up to 12 months to complete the course.

Assessment method

This is a 36 credit qualification. It is made up from one mandatory group (21 units) and one optional group (15 units). The course can be combined with a range of units from group B (the optional section), which means it is ideal if you are working in a specialist area or are interested in working towards other work-based learning qualifications.

How is the course delivered?
A three one day workshop which cover the required knowledge understanding of teaching and assessing learners. You will learn in an enjoyable and supportive atmosphere where the emphasis is on group activities to help you put what you are learning into practice.
